One of the influential ideas on the critique and theories of literature in recent years has been the existentialist (existentialist) philosophy. Major philosophers such as Kierkegaard, Jaspers, Sartre, Heidegger, and Camus proclaimed their thoughts as a manifestation of existentialism as a manifestation of deep and pernicious manifestations and had a profound and significant impact on literature. In Iran, too, this idea began to spread, though not as vastly as outside of Iran, and it showed itself in various ways, consciously and unknowingly in the writings of the writers. Almost coincidentally, with the announcement of the existence of such a philosophical and literary idea in the world, Iran has witnessed such thoughts, though not as mere imitation. Sadegh Hedayat is one of the people in whose works, due to his deep thinking and thoughts, such issues are found. The method of this research is based on library, documentary and in accordance with the opinion of Ervin Yalom. This article analyzes the short story “Zende Be Goor" based on the fundamental ideas of existentialism and the endearments of mankind, especially contemporary modern man, concluding that the main elements of this intellectual process can be in the form of behavior and the discourses of the main personality of the story.
