The aim of this study is to compare the image element in childhood stories and Francesca Simon, author of the American child, and Ahmad Reza Ahmadi, Iranian child writer. The components studied in this study are: the proportion of the interior and the image, the appropriateness of the color and texture of the image with the space and the story of the story, the priority or direction of the image to the text, whitening in the image, and so on. The research method is document review and content analysis. The results of this study showed that the illustrations of Ahmadi and Simon's stories differ in some of the components of the image. The image of Ahmadi's stories is childish in design and colorful, but the technique of whitening, the balance of text and image in them, contrary to Simon's stories, has not been respected. It seems that the reason is the use of several illustrators to design images of Ahmadi's stories, which somewhat contributed to the separation of the writer and illustrator.
