Women’s agency has a significant role in feministic studies, because agency leads to independence and empowerment which results in the development of society. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to compare Daneshvar’s and Vafi’s viewpoint towards women’s agencies which was depicted in their novels. This research study has been conducted through the application of content analysis methodology based on the theoretical frameworks of feminist theory and Bourdieu’s point of view. The results of the current study indicate that both writers preferred women’s agency to welfare-orientations. While, Daneshvar put her emphasis on women’s agency in political arena which empowers them to break the traditional customs, Vafi emphasized on women’s agency in social and cultural arenas and she insisted on the significance of cultural capital role. In both writers’ novels, agent women are the key figures who came from the middle-class and were academically educated. Agent women in Daneshvar’s novels have feminist viewpoints, but agent women in Vafi’s novels have a moderate viewpoint.
