Protest derived from social commitment in the mirror of contemporary poetry is a category in which Persian literary experts and artists express their dissatisfaction with the current situation in order to explain the problems of society and to enlighten and raise awareness. Through the mission and responsibility they feel on their shoulders, they do not tolerate the conditions and possibilities, the deviations and injustices, especially in the social and political structure, and they react to them. Contemporary Persian and Arabic-speaking poets have a heartfelt and unadulterated devotion to their homeland and birthplace, which they take steps to express in various ways. Poetry, which has long been known as the manifestation of human thought, is one of these tools. In addition to protesting the current situation, poets have raised the flag of opposition to incompetent rulers and irresponsible citizens, sometimes traitors to the homeland. This research examines the position of contemporary Arabic-speaking and Persian-speaking poets (within the geographical boundaries of Iran - the current Persian-speaking countries) regarding patriotism and homeland abandonment, and, while providing examples of poems, the judgments of this educated class on the issue of betrayal of the ideals of the homeland, or losing heart from the motherland, are criticized and examined. This research shows that in these poems, there are significant manifestations of condemnation and condemnation of patriotism and homeland abandonment.
