Seyyed Hassan Shokohi (1271-1333). He is a constitutionalist and freedom-seeking poet from Yazdi who spent his education with Farrokhi Yazdi and both of them gained knowledge from the same source and gained grace in the presence of a master like Gholam Hossein Sharegh, a poet and calligrapher from Yazdi. The poet's adolescence and youth coincided with the beginning of constitutionalism and the Iranians' desire for renewal. Shokohi, who had become a capable poet at this time and was given the title of "Amir al-Sha'ara", began to publish newspapers called "Baran" and "Payam". Like most poets and writers of the constitutional period, he also began to compose poems about freedom, modernity, etc. and published some of these poems in his magazines. He was also the first person from Yazd to participate in the Congress of Iranian and Soviet Writers in 1325 AH. In the last years of his life, Shokohi used to organize the Yazd Literary Society in his home on Monday nights, and this tradition continued for approximately eight years. In 1333 AH, at the age of 62, after a lifetime of service to the world of science and literature, he passed away due to heart disease and was buried next to the shrine of the seventh-century mystic Rabbi "Seyyed Rukn al-Din" located in the "Waqt al-Saat" neighborhood. His collection of poems was published in 1346 AH by the efforts of his son, Seyyed Mohammad Shokohi. In this study, we will introduce him in more detail and take a brief look at his enduring poems.
