The research question addressed is: "How is this contemporary poet's symbolic approach to the concept of the homeland perceived from the perspective of new historicism?" This research was conducted using an analytical-descriptive method, involving a case study of Monzavi's collected poems. The findings indicate that Monzavi employed 46 different symbols a total of 215 times to elaborate on the concept of homeland and patriotism. The most frequently used symbol by Monzavi to explain this concept is "garden," with a frequency of 67 occurrences. In terms of the types of symbols used for the concept of the homeland, Monzavi's most prevalent symbols are general and artificial symbols, with frequencies of 35 and 24 occurrences. Furthermore, from the perspective of new historicism, his symbols were chosen to precisely align with the socio-political conditions of the society. For instance, symbols such as "mountain" and "house" were utilized to clarify the concept of a homeland on the verge of liberation, while a symbol like "ruined dwelling" was employed to describe the plight of an oppressed homeland.
