The issues related to the lives of women are among the themes that has absorbed the attention and interest of authorsinrecentyears.Female authors,compared to male authors, have been more successful in portraying these issues more clearly and more authentically.NovelistNasimMaraashi,theauthorofAutum is the lastseasonoftheyear,has managed to depict the feelings and emotions of her characters in the novel through a first person narrator and has attempted to make a linkage between the process of the formation of the personality of the characters and the narrator.Thus,this article aims to studyandanalyzethemajorthemesofAutumnisthelastseasonoftheyear.Variousthemesofthenovelarelove,marriage,failure,anxiety,depression,self-esteem,confidence,and loneliness. However,the analysis of the themes and the text shows that love could be pinpointed as the focal theme of the novel that functions as motive for the characters to change their life throughout the course of actions. Characters, despite their attempts, fail to resolve their problems and challenges and the problems and events that follow the event of love lead to appearance other themes.
