The novel This Street Has No Speed Bumps, through its representation of women’s lives in a patriarchal society, reveals not only the psychological and emotional structures of the characters but also the social foundations of dominance and gender discrimination. This research, by integrating the Enneagram personality model with a socio-gendered approach, analyzes the role of male psychological types in the reproduction of inequality and the maintenance of power relations within the socio-cultural context of Kermanshah city. The research methodology is qualitative content analysis of the text, focusing on character relationships, women’s subjective narratives, and the social contexts of male behavior. The findings show that the men in the novel, despite diversity in personality types (Helper, Reformer, Dominator, or Hedonist), all play a role in maintaining the patriarchal order at the level of social action; whether through direct violence and control, or through seemingly benevolent affection, support, or reformism. Furthermore, these types reflect gendered cultural, class, and historical structures, and the novel, through their precise design, presents a sociological image of the manifold faces of male dominance in contemporary society. Thus, the present analysis can provide a model for examining gendered actions and the reproduction of power in other contemporary literary texts from the perspective of the interaction between literature and society.
