The theory of speech acts is known by names such as speech act, speech verbs, and verbal act. This theory falls within the field of linguistics and philosophy of language. The first theory was laid down by John Austin in his book How to Do Anything with Words. After him, John Searle examined its dimensions and classified speech acts into five acts: declarative, declarative, imperative, persuasive, and affective. The main question of the research is whether, based on the thematic and ideological diversity of Hossein Panahi's poems, it is possible to reach the foundations of John Searle's speech acts? In this article, eight books are examined: "Greenwich Mean Time", "Plato by Bukhari", "Me and the Nazi", "Russian Nightmares", "I Have Been Dead for Years", "I Don't Know", and "Letters to Anna (1 and 2)".The research was conducted using an analytical-descriptive method and most of the research was conducted using library resources and some of it was conducted using statistical software. The results obtained indicate that declarative, persuasive and emotional speech acts were used the most, and commitment and declaration acts were used the least. This share of use shows that the poet's statement is preferred over other aspects of speech acts and that the poet, while depicting his perception of various issues, seeks to make the audience agree with his beliefs and motivate him to persuasive and emotional actions. In contrast, the low share of commitment and declaration acts indicates the poet's low level of power and social influence.
