As a mirror of real life, the novel is considered a medium by which actual events are recorded or by which scenarios, inspired by reality, are created in the imagination of the author. Women's concerns are frequently written about by female novelists, and the bitterness and pain that have been inflicted upon women by the patriarchal system are depicted in their writings. The novel "In Khiaban Soraat Gir Nadarad" is examined in this article so that damaged characters and their interaction with life's hardships can be identified; ultimately, it is concluded that three categories of women are featured in this novel. The first category is comprised of powerful women by whom submission to male dominance is refused, by whom personal goals are pursued, and by whom numerous hardships are endured, yet by whom a sense of satisfaction is derived from their independence. The second category is formed by women by whom an exit from this system is desired and by whom rebellion is exhibited, but by whom the capacity to build an independent life is lacked, or by whom defeat in the face of family and society is conceded, causing their lives to be destroyed. The third category is constituted by women by whom both the good and the bad of life are tolerated, and by whom the familiarization of other women with this lifestyle is attempted. Instead of good fortune being possessed by them, powerlessness is experienced; nevertheless, satisfaction with their lives is felt, complaints are never voiced, and traditional beliefs are stubbornly adhered to.
