This study analyzes the attitudes of technical and vocational students towards Persian literature. It interprets data from a field survey of 73 male students at National Skills University. Using a descriptive-analytical and mixed-methods approach, the research challenges the stereotype that technical students are uninterested in humanities. The findings reveal that a significant majority (57.5%) of students are interested in the subject. Their preference leans towards meaningful and practical content, particularly in poetry (52.1%) and narrative prose (27.4%), rather than rote, dry content. The analysis indicates that students view literature as a tool for preserving their mother tongue (54.7%) and enhancing their intellectual skills. This perspective is the main reason they believe the course should be part of their curriculum. Student feedback also highlights a desire for a more practical teaching approach and for the course to be spread across multiple semesters, suggesting their dissatisfaction lies with the teaching method, not the subject itself. These results offer clear guidance for revising literature programs and teaching methods in higher education.
