This research analyzes Hossein Monzavi's Sonnet "Bogzarid Az Man"( Ignore Me), one of the most prominent contemporary Persian sonnet poets, from the perspective of Jacques Lacan's psychoanalysis. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the unconscious layers of the poetic subject and how fundamental Lacanian concepts such as the three registers (Imaginary, Symbolic, Real), desire, the split subject, and the function of language are manifested in this work. The research question is: How can Lacanian concepts contribute to a deeper understanding of the psychological and existential complexities of the subject in Monzavi's sonnet and unveil its unconscious dimensions? The research method employed is qualitative, based on textual analysis through a Lacanian psychoanalytic literary criticism approach. In this method, key verses and lexical combinations of the Sonnet are meticulously examined to illustrate the manifestation of the three registers, the dynamics of desire and objet petit a, and the emergence of the split subject within the language of the poem. The findings indicate that Monzavi's sonnet serves as a mirror to the Lacanian split subject, constantly grappling with the gaze of the Other, the limitations of language, and the unsymbolizable Real. In the Imaginary dimension, the subject confronts a negative self-image and alienation; in the Symbolic realm, influenced by the Law of the Other and linguistic structures, their desire is expressed through complex metaphors and metonymies; and in the Real, they encounter ineffable lacks and traumatic experiences....
