In the Moment of Ashes is the title of one of Yadollah Royaei’s free poems. Royaei is one of the most famous contemporary poets whose works were published and received attention, especially in the decades after the revolution. This study takes a formalist look at one of his poems, which was published in a book titled From the Red Platform (Poetry Issues), in order to explain the organic fit of the components of this work and analyze its formality and form, and to answer the question: What is the position of form in Yadollah Royaei’s poem “In the Moment of Ashes”? And how do the contrast and agreement of the components in this poem achieve unity and convey meaning? The results of the formalist study of this poem in this study indicate that the components of the poem “In the Moment of Ashes” have formed an organic unity in close connection and interaction with each other. This is explained by the fact that this poem has initially maintained the connection of its overall body by creating opposition and agreement among the words and their formal level and explicit meaning. On another layer, the poem has achieved a deeper connection by establishing a semantic connection at the implicit level of the words, and ultimately, the connection of images and components of each stanza of the poem has maintained the longitudinal and vertical line of the poem like a strong belt. ...
